Master Craftables List

Since there are a lot of people working on the Loremaster Title, I decided to create a Master List of All Craftable Items that are used for quests.  I took out the professions specific items that are easy to make yourself to get new recipes, the EPL Writs, and Silithis Tactical Turn-Ins.  So these are items that can sell to Loremaster wanna-be's as well as to levelling alts.  DMF = Dark moon Faire turn ins, which sell during the Darkmoon Faire.  Options for expanding your business here.

Khorium Power Core, Adamantite Frames, Heavy Knothide Leather

Been Sellin All 3 of these as they are required for quests in Outlands.  These days there a lot more people trying to do Loremaster, so make sure to help them out by providing the quest items they need at vastly inflate prices. 
 
I Sell Khorium Power Cores for 125g.  You have 2 options here.  Craft it as an engineer, if you have 6 Khorium Ore and a Primal Fire or just go to See Quiff at Area 52.  If you camp here you can buy a premade one off her for under 5g!  this goblin also sells Adamantite Frame for 4g.  I also craft and sell these, because they are needed for the same quest as the Khorium Power Core as well as a very common pre-quest that opens up multiple chains of quests.  So these and the required sets of 4 Heavy Knothide Leather for the same quest do sell.  I set my stacks of 4 HKL at 25g and 1 Adamantite frame is 35g. 
 
Other easy sells for quest items are Advanced Targeting Dummy, Strong Troll's Blood Elixir, Deadly Blunderbuss, and many many more.

Am I A Cheater?

Since the WoW expansion is coming to an end, I have basically just been posting a few auctions here and there, running my weekly and daily quests for Frost Emblems and not much else.  Why?  I'm a little bored and don't see much point in trying to upgrade gear that will be trash in 2-3 months.  I have plenty of gold at this point and have been stocking up for Cataclysm.  Why this lack of activity though?  Boredom.  Just a little bored with WoW as there isn't much new to do.

So for the past week I have been fooling around on the side with another game, Dungeons & Dragons Online.  This game is very fun and is a great escape for a bit, while WoW is to that played out phase.  Anyone else that is bored is welcome to join me.  It is a free to play game now and you can acutally unlock all of the premium things if you play enough.  So anyone bored with WoW, stop by and give it a try.  DDO tends to be a little more "mature" environment than WoW.

PvP and Tank Plate

I had read on a fellow blogger's site a while back about how they always have a full set of Savage Saronite PvP gear on the auction house.  I decide to give it a whirl as I had been somewhat wanting to cater to the emerging market of PvPers, since many people are experimenting with PvP with the expansion coming to an end.  I now always have a full set of Savage Saronite Plate (DPS PvP Resilience Gear) on the AH from Thursday thru Monday.  I often am the only seller on my server, unless there is an odd piece or two tossed up by someone levelling blacksmithing.  Therefore, I set my prices at around 180-245g per set piece.  I usually sell a full set plus more pieces over each weekend.  Once in a while someone will buy the full set or close to it, which really makes a ton of profit once you see the mats are way way way lower than my sell prices.  So if you have a blacksmith, I highly recommend this.

I then took it a step further.  I decided to supplement Monday thru Thursday with selling a full set of Tempered Saronite Plate (+Def Tanking Gear) on the AH.  Many of these pieces sell as they are quick and easy ways to get the +Def to start tanking heroics.  Since the expansion is ending soon and people are trying new options, like tanking on dual spec, these sell well also.  There is a lot more competition since the mats requirements are super low and these are very common pieces to grind up skill, but that doesn't mean its not still profitable. 

One Item I also post that sells excellently is Daunting Handguards.  These Plate Tanking Guantlets are vastly superior to the Tempered Saronite Guantlets.  Usuable at the same level (78) but a higher item level, with 31 more armor, 2 more strength, 5 more stamina, and 5 more defense.  So these are a better slot item for new tanks.  These are IMO, the most reliable to buy cheap and flip.  Many times I see these on the AH for under 25g.  I bought out 4 of em for 8g each one night, from someone just dumping what he made while grinding skill...and easily flip them over a couple of days for 99g99s99c each.  I regularly sell these guantlets for 100g, which is uber profits from an item that takes just 12 Saronite Bars & 1 Eternal Earth.

And thanks to a tip I heard from Markco on either the Call to Auction or Castaclysm podcasts, I also sell Steel Plate Helms for 25-40g each on the AH to warriors and paladins that have just hit lvl 40 and are looking to get a plate helm.  Thanks Markco!

My question to the readers is this...

Have you seen reliable sales of any other pvp gear of a different armor type?

I would like to get into selling other PvP gear over weekends only, but don't want to waste good materials on an experiment.  Im thinking maybe DPS PvP Leather may be the second best seller to Rogues & Druids.

Anyone have success with PvP Leather, Cloth, or Mail sales?  What about PvP Healing Gear?

Make Extra Gold Tonight & Tommorrow

Why is that you ask? 

Tonight is the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby and tommorrow is the All Star Game. 

Super Bowl Sunday was a great money maker, due to the lack of competition as people are not in-game and are watching the big sporting event.  Make sure to post just before, during, and after these 2 events as history shows your competition will be lighter on these nights.  Many people won't even log in and will be glued to the tv all night.  So this is a good time to try to control markets for a couple of days and get extra profits.  Also less people on overall means better chances at winning bids you snipe tonight before server goes down for maintenance. 

Also be sure to post some 48 hr posts today that will not get eaten up by downtime black hole.  Having auctions that you post late tonight that will return and be up after the maintenance time will reap you major rewards as Tuesday Downtime + 48hr returning posts + MLB All Star Game stealing away competitors = a Chance for the Little Guy to be the Monopolist for a couple of days. 

Take head, plan ahead, and maximize profits!

Weak Week

Sorry for the weak week of posts. Got 3 60hr weeks in a row and work has tightened the Banned Sites List & I can only get on my tunneler proxy on a couple computers and even then the restrictions limit me to tiny post volume. Hang in there, more goodies are in the works.

The Sunday Fail Pugs

If you are consistently doing the Raid Weekly for Frost Emblems, try to do it early in the week. Tuesdays and Wednesdays groups have a much greater success ratio. By Saturday, you are left with noobs, morons and the undergeared.

GDKP Deflowered

Did my first GDKP Raid in 25man ToC. Word of advise: Look for BOEs and bid on them. You will get money back at the end of te run, so don't be afraid to try for sellable drops. I won Cloak of the Untamed Predator, ilvl245 dps cloak for 800g. Sold within 24hrs for 1500g.

Importance of Patch Notes

Always read your patch notes and preferably know them, analyze them, and predict spikes in demand before the patch even goes live. Since the Ruby Sanctum Raid has went live on US servers, certain craftables should see an increase in sales and demand. Knowing your patch notes and what items are dropped by the new raid bosses, will help you to gain maximum profits.
Example: Halion drops Waist pieces. What does this mean? You can bet your ass that Belt Buckles will sell well immediately following the release. My server sees sales of around 32-45g per. On Tuesday Night the normally flooded supply was whittled down to just a few buckles. So I sold all mine for 75g a pop. Why? Preplanning, Forecasting, Understanding best times to get the most money. These are skills you practice and expound upon once you become a true AH player.

A New raid, with new boss drops USUALLY also means increased demand and raise in prices for: Enchants, Gems, Leg Armors, and other Item Enhancements, BUT look deeper into it. Halion drops NO Weapons and No Leg Slot Armor, so thinking you will get a spike in leg armor sales because of the new raid is just wrong. No Weapon drops means no big rush on high end weapon enchants. You should be focusing extra resources into enchants and item consumables that will go on the new drops, like belt buckles and enchants for what items are dropped.

Mainly Tank, DPS, and Heal chants for Feet.
Spellpower and Agi based DPS Chants for wrists.
Leather Caster Hand Chants.
Belt Buckles.

Then throw in factors like increased population online after a new patch and sales in others areas can explode as well, simply from more people being on this week looking to run the new raid. Now is the time to make a lot of profit while you can and unload some things that have been dropping in price, like Gems. Gem Prices have skyrocketted back up with the player population spike as well as the Raid items dropping with empty sockets.

All in all, read you patch notes, plan ahead, use your brain, and then enjoy the sound of that gold hitting your packs.

Future Heirlooms

Cata will introduce BoA items to new slots from guild craftables. I would start getting the rep and recipe drops to make BiS chants the new heirlooms.
Hands: +15 Agi, +16 SP, +10 Haste, +7 Str
Wrist: +15 SP, +9 Str, +9 Sta, +9 Spi
Feet: +7 Agi, +7 Sta, Minor Speed

Finally!

Found an alliance player that sold me a +30SP to wep Recipe for my chanter. Paid 8.5k for it thru the neutral AH. 8.5k is nothing, as I sold a scroll within seconds for 700g. So this recipe will pay for itself and then some. Been after it for 5 years! Yay!

Easy Neatherweave

If you are having trouble with stocking NW Cloth or just wanna make a quick buck head out to the Hellfire Peninsula side of the Dark Portal. All of the temporary mobs at the Glacial Templar summoning stone can drop NW Cloth and have a nice respawn timer, while being grouped together, for easy farming. Use an alt, get your 60mins 10% Kill XP Buff , then farm away. Bonus when your Faction Fire burns hot! Take advantage before they are gone.

Eternal Orb Exchange

Just found another great benefit of being an engineer. Engineers have the easiest time controlling the Frozen Orb > Eternal Echange Market. Frozo the Orb Exchanger is located right outside the Dalaran Engineering Building, which houses the Engineer Only Auction House Access in Dalaran. Also close by are the Anvil/Forge, Mailbox, and the Heavy Borean Leather to Arctic Fur Exchanger. The close proximity of both the Exchangers and the Auction House, make this an easy spot to search for Orbs then convert them into the more higher prices Eternal flavor of the night. This can also be done swapping heavy borean leathers as well.

So you do a search and see that Frozen Orbs are at 22g, and Eternal Life is at 36g and Eternal Fire is at 38g. What do you do?

Holiday Chants

Lord Ahune drops 1 of 5 cloaks each kill and the bag has a chance to give you the new vanity pet and/or the 2h staff in addition to the 2 Extra Frost Emblems. Yes I said "and"...My shadow priest got both the new pet and the staff out of her first bag ever and shes lvl 78. I know she will be sexy as hell with the Frostscythe in shadow form. What does all this mean for us on the AH?

You better put up some cloak enchant scrolls and keep em stocked all week. Many many many people will be gearing alts with the easy iLvl232 cloaks. And with the ability to run the holiday boss over and over until you get your cloak, you bet that a lot of new purple cloaks out there on alts are gonna need enchants. But which ones?

Best Holiday For Leveling Alts

Make sure to take advantage of this holiday. For 10 days you can fly around and touch fires for insane XP and gold along with 1hour 10% xp buffs at the flagpoles for extra monster kill XP as well. This is the perfect time to get those alts levels before cata starts. And the in town dailies are stupid easy and reward good gold. Make sure to grab all the ore/herb nodes as you fly around and make even more gold.

Why Make Gold? Re: One-Copper

Coffelord posed the question in episode 2 of the podcast, "Why do you make gold in World of Warcraft?

1) Alts, alts, and more alts - Having 10 characters that are all crafters with maxed professions, dual specs, and epic flight along with coldweather flight ain't cheap.

2) Collections - I enjoy collecting recipes and being able to craft almost anything craftable within the game. This also is not cheap.

3) Control - Controlling markets is fun. As is getting hate mail and /ignored. LOL!

4) Intellectual Stimulation - The complexities of markets that ebb and flow with so many different options and variables of what to do within each and every market and the ability to understand these markets as well as the correlating sub-markets is very intriguing to me. I rather enjoy coming up with new ways to exploit and profit to support my Factory of Alts.

Heirlooms for 80-85

Old Heirlooms will not go past lvl 80. New ones are being introduced for 81-85. What does this mean? More sales of higher end BoA chants that can go on the new high level BoAs. Enchanters will have an initial rush of chant sales, once they release. Just think of how many +10 stats to chest you will sell. Cha-ching!

Glyph System Changes

The glyph system will be changing in Cataclysm. Medium Glyphs are being added, which are supposed to be more vanity types of glyphs. The current glyph system is being changed to allow swapping of glyphs you have purchased. So more individual glyph sales, with less repeat sales.

Market Resets

24 hr downtime allowed many markets to reset. Gem & glyph markets were much more profitable following the reset. Items are selling higher than normal due to the lack of volume caused by a full day of no posts & auctions expiring. If your server was NOT effected, then prepare for it. Win bids & sell high!

Good time to control markets

Today was a great day to try to control some markets for part of the day. Many items were completely out after the 24hr server downtime. If someone beat you to the post, just buy em out and repost for major profits. I found a stack of Large Brills for 3.5g each, and knowing they usually go for 10 each, I bought em all and flipped for 15g each, then they all sold out within minutes. Speaking of which, Tuesday after the servers come up is a good time to try this as well.

Finally just got my 100th subscriber via Google Reader.  GET AROUND WEBSENSE:
1)  Find a program online called Ultra-Surf, DL it @ home and email to yourself.  Install it at work.
2)  Create a Google Reader Account, if google access is allowed.  Then subscribe to the pages you want to view. 
3)  Find a blocked link, search for it thru google, then click the CACHE link, to see the page that way.

Bags Bags Bags

Finally finished the rep grind to grab all of the 32 slot craftings bags on my tailor and my leatherworker.  Bought out all the borean and heavy borean leathers that were reasonably priced.  Posted 8 bags from the leatherworker (mining and leather bags)  and all 8 sold over night.  With tons of people levelling alts and tradeskills, this is a goldmine.  Got this tip from reading Markco's blog last month, but never took the time to level the required reps on the alts.  Now I must say it was super easy to get the rep up to were it needed to be.  If you haven't got these patterns yet, get on it.  Goldmine here.  Will be working on gather mats and posting the enchanter and Herbalist bags to add those to my sales.

Briarthorn

In the Process of Leveling an additional Alchemist, I ran into a problem early on as Briarthorn is never in stock and it is very valuable to powerleveling as it is used by many recipes across a variety of skill levels.  So I am adding this to my stockpile list.  I predict this will be a big seller for power levelling goblins.  So check your markets for things that are in low supply on your server and see if you can find somethnig new to flip.

Web Based AH is Garbage

Beta AH is now all servers. Granted I know it is just Beta, but the new AH access thru the web is GARBAGE. Slow as hell, quantity limits, errors when batch posting, page reloads, and crashing as you swap tabs. Hrm...Don't waste your time yet.

What the Fudge (But I Didn't Say Fudge)!

I have found an annoying bug that scares the hell out of me every time. I log into the game and the character screen loads, as I scroll thru my characters everything looks normal until I get to my Main. And there he stands wearing nothing but his Argent Tourney Tabard. My heart sinks as I log into him to find everything intact. I have NOT been hacked. This bug alone makes me want to buy an authenticator. anyone else have this problem?

Easy Profits: Arcanite Bars

Arcane crystals have become dirt cheap after the crash of the thorium bandwagon. Coupled with low priced thorium ore/bars the Arcanite Bars are very profitable. I had been selling Arcanite Bars for 75g each for over a month before someone else caught on and has been posting at 15g per bar, and still turning a big profit. Transmute Spec Alchemy makes even more cash off this simple item. Lots of people are levelling new tradeskills is why they sell.

Current Projects

As expansion end nears, I been doing some achievements on my main, and getting recipes for items I didnt have yet. Currently working on fixing Bloodscale Rep, Got the Yeti pet pattern, Working on Outland Loremaster, while farming neatherweave for bags in the process. Basically pulled out of glyphs, gems, and titanium bar markets temporarily, as profits still exist, but are not at the margins I prefer to spend my time investing in. Will hit them again after new patches.

More Fun With Shakes & Fidget

Been having a blast playing Sakes & Fidget at work, sense it gets thru the websense block here for some reason. This is a super fun 2D web based game in the comic world based on World of Warcraft. This game is an 8.6/10 rating on a major site as well as being a German web game of the year winner. Join the cult comic fun and have a blast with me. Friday, my site was recommended by Markco on the great Just My Two Copper. I was averaging about 80 visits a day, but on Friday I got 551 visits with another 265 Saturday. Cuergo's Gold

While grinding pirates repairing Steamwheedle Rep, I got map fragments to make 2 Cuergo's Treasure Maps. Completed the quest once and got my +350 Gadgetzan & Horde Rep and the junk rewards. Sold the 2nd on the AH for 350g buyout the same night. LOL WTF? This quest doesnt even count towards Loremaster or 3000 quests completed achievement. So I guess its good to buy one for easy rep. Made me wonder if I can buy the map pieces off the AH and repost fully completed maps. Might be worth a try and sell for a profit.

I experienced this on my server with all my pets. My sales of Faction transferred pets skyrocketted and I sold out of every Engineering pet I had.

Saronite Droppings

Markets have definately changed on my server. Now multiple people have been dumping tons of saronite ore, maybe we have real bot miners on the server now. Anyhow, I am absolutely loving the hundreds of stacks of saronite ore I have been buying for under 12.5g per stack. Tonight I bought out 3 buyers for a few hundred stacks total at 9.5g, 9.7g, and 9.8g per stack of ore. This is great for making money afk, by just buyinging, bagging, and smelting it for 25g per stack of bars (takes 2 stacks of ore to make a stack of bars). Or you can shuffle it into gems or enchanting mats, or use it in crafting belt buckles, etc. At prices like this you can't help but buy them all up.

Ever realize you and another player are buying at the same time as you get the hated "This item no longer exists" message from the Auction House? I got into a fury of clicks for the stacks before my competing buyer got them. Then I tried to lay a trap for him, posting stacks of 2 ore for the same price we were buying out the full stacks for, but he didn't take the bait. Lol, oh well! Maybe he was using a snatch program. Screw Add-ons.

Current Trends

Todays market nears expansions end and the best items selling are items for alts, be it alts levelling or alts raising their crafting skills. If you are getting lost in all the crashing markets, with the price plummets, look for a new area to focus on : Supplier of All Alts Needs.

Netherweave bag market -all time high average now.
Rare gems for socket bonus vs epic gems.
Crafting bottlenecks.
Quest required player craftables as people focus on Loremaster.

Expansion End Market

Time to take advantage of the crashing markets. Many items can be found on the AH getting dumped for cheap. Been buying Saronite ores for under 11g a stack. Smelting it will even get me a profit at that rate. Look at what items are crashing and figure a way to use them to your advantage. Thorium Ore has been selling for 12g per stack or less. So how can i use that to my advantage? Been turning it into GEEs for a nice profit. Don't forget the vendorable items that can get you a profit in this current market.

EASY FLIP: Black Vitriol

I would not use a snatch list for these, but you can buy any you see at a low cost and mark up to 5g easy. With all of the people grinding alchemy to get the transmutes, these do move off the AH for 5g each since it is needed to make the philosopher's stone, which is required to transmute. Suprisingly, they are selling out same day or night.

This is an easy item to watch for anyone, but especially great for those poor AH noobs just learning the art of the flip, since it has a huge profit margin.

Stock up for Children's Week

Children’s Week is less than a month away. It's always best to plan ahead and get your materials ahead of the demand spike that happens around holidays for certian items. Start stocking mats for Delicious Chocolate Cake now, other wise you may get stuck without the stock to truely take advantage of this great money making week coming in the near future.

This is the 2nd best money making holiday, especially if you are a cook that has done the cooking daily quests and earned your Delicious Chocolate Cake recipe. The cakes sell for 25-35g each and the materials are not hard to gather. I cannot make enough of these to keep any in stock longer than a few hours.

Small Egg and Mageroyal can also be farmed and sold here, although the eggs don’t sell as well as during Winter Veil, since only select high level cooks will buy them. The Flask of Port can sell also because it can be tricky or time consuming to find and buy off the limited vendors that sell it. Tasty Cupcake sells during this week also. The easy money makers here are the desserts required for the Sweet Treats Achievement, which is needed for the Meta-achievement. Red Velvet Cupcake, Dalaran Doughnut, and Dalaran Brownie all can be purchased in Dalaran and sold on the auction house for a huge mark up profit.

 You wouldn't believe the numbers of people that don’t have the expansion yet and can’t even get there to buy them themselves. Like always, you want to be one of the first to post these as posting earlier will make you more gold. The same dessert vendor in Dalaran also sells the Lovely Cake which can be cut into the Lovely Cake Slice needed for the achievement. Be careful with these because they are expensive. Only buy what you know you can sell. Tigule and Furor’s Strawberry Ice Cream is used for not only the achievement, but for one of the orphan quests as well, so although it sells for a lot cheaper, it is a quick mover.

FUSED WIRINGS

If you are an engineer, then chances are you probably have been making easy money off of the newly non-BOP engineering crafted pets, Lil Smoky & Pet Bombling. While the markets for Core of Earth, Essense of Fire, and Heart of Fire have been fluctuating, the market for Fused Wiring has exploded. If you have a JC and an engineer , then you can church out some easy profits as fused wirings are selling for 25-30g each, and you get a stack of 5 with each crafting. These take 2 Essence of Fire and 3 Delicate Copper Wire (made by Jewelcrafters) to make 5 Fused Wirings. Delicate Copper Wires require 2 Copper Bars each.

Therefore:

6 Copper Bars + 2 Essence of Fire = 5 Fused Wiring.

So check your markets, there are very few sellers of Fused Wirings, but they are required for both new pets, so you are supplying engineers that are crafting as well as supplying those that are just gathering the mats for their pets as well.

Also Big Iron Bomb has been selling well for me as well at a buyout of 25g each, as this is an ingredient in the crafting of the Pet Bombling. These are cheap to make as well, requiring just 1 silver bar, 3 iron bars, and 3 heavy blasting powder (3 heavy stone) to make 2 of these bombs.

So how are profits?

Anyone got any good stories regarding profits since Patch 3.3.3?
I'm making a large chunk off of buying saronite ore, smelting it, and transmuting it to titanium and selling in stacks of 3, since the titansteel CD is gone. Also selling engineering pets, slowly.

Would love to hear anyone elses windfalls or misjudgements.

Trading Gold for Game Time

So I recently encountered a player that makes a ton of gold on the AH. Grats. But what to do with all of the virtual gold. Apparently he claims to trade gold for game time cards. Instead of accepting cash, he just gets them to buy a game card and send him the code. He also claims to not have paid out of his own pockets for gametime in over 2 years. This sounds like a good plan, but isn't this a violation of game policy, just the same as selling gold?

Are We There Yeti?

Yetis are by far one of the best mobs to skin. Why? Yetis are the only mobs that are humanoid and skinable, which means they drop gold. The yetis that are level 34 or below also have a chance to drop Large Fangs, which can be sold on the auction house or saved and used for craftables such as Barbaric Bracers. So if you are a upcoming skinner, make sure to spend some time on the yetis to get more cash than just skinning animal types. Also these yetis will always be found near caves and mining nodes for anyone with mine-skin combo.

Titanium Transmute

Why is converting Saronite Ore to Titanium Bars so profitable on many servers?

My idea is that it tends to be a money making strategy that requires multiple characters because the 2 professions, Mining and Alchemy are not a typical combination you find on a single character. Anyone got a Miner/Alchemist? Probably not many. Therefore this is easiest for players with both a miner and an alchemist. If you have both, look into it. There is good money to be made from transmuting and selling on the AH in stacks of 3 and single bars.

Dead Mire Bog - FARMING FTW

First Farming Post, since that's what you asked for.

The Dead Mire Bog

This is by far my most favorite spot to farm, grind, level, and raise some professions. I have levelled at least 4 charcters farming this area alone thru 2-3 full levels and gathered a ton of resources while doing it.

Why is this place so great?

Withered Giants & Bog Lords

1) These kills provide Sporeggar Rep (which will get you to the cooking patterns that you can sell for 25g each.)
2) They drop unidentified plant parts, which get you to Cenarian Rep Honored.
3) They drop motes of life.
4) They can be herbed for more motes, more unidentified plant parts, and tons of various herbs.
5) There are adamantium nodes in the area.
6) There are various herb spawns in the area.
7) The hydras can be skinned.
8) The Bog Lords drop tendrils which can be used for Sporeggar rep.
9) Super fast respawn rate.
10) They drop lots of vendor trash and greens.
11) Town is very close by for selling and making more room.

So this place alone gives access to: Rep, Rep items, Herbs, Ores, Skins, and Greens.

If you save all the primals and sell them during the DarkMoonFaire you will make even more money.

Netherweave Market

Logged in after a few weeks absence to see that NW Bags are down to 7.5g each, but I found stacks of NW for 4g, so its still profitable to make the bags. But 4x NW bolts, I've been selling for 15-20g and stacks of NW i'm buying out and reposting for 12g. Any both NW cloth and Bolts are selling. So lesson learned, sometimes the raw materials or intermediate materials will sell for much more profit than the final end product.

Digging Back In

Well, the weeks of 70 hours with tons of Overtime have come to an end. I now have a regular 40 hour work week ahead of me, with tons of morning playtime available. What will this mean for my gold making?

Time of day of available playtime, will have a big impact on my ability to make gold. I tended to get a ton of sales from teh Overnight Market, but now I will have to adjust to selling during early mornnig and afternoon hours.

Any tips or ideas?

Take a Break Every Now and Then

Taking a break from the game every now and then can be mentally productive. Breaking from a task allows us to think more creatively, then trying to continously come of with new ideas, while submerged deep within our in game tasks.

I recently was gone from the game for nearly 3 weeks, due to personal, work, and financial issues. But awaiting me is a new shifted and refreshed auction house market to have fun with and crush the dreams of new players who only aspired in my absense. Mwahahahaha!

Engineers Rejoice

Good news for those of us that are engineers, PTR Patch notes were updated for the 3.3.3 PTR to make the non-combat Pet Bombling and Lil’ Smoky both Bind on Equip soon, instead of Bind on Pickup. So they will be in Huge demand just after the patch as people use these 2 to get closer to their pets achievements. These are also very cool looking when compared to a stupid deer or a frog, etc.

This book came out a few years ago. I would recommend it to any online gamer. Not only is is very interesting, but it is a great look into the world of gold sellers, chinese farmers, gamer widows, etc. This book was a super fast read as it is one of few books written by a gamer for gamers, without being non-fiction.

Random Queues and Resource Farming

Looking For Dungeon Queue
The best benefit of the new Random Looking For Dungeon Tool is the fact that you enter the queue directly to the dungeoun, but you also are returned to the exact spot of entry once you leave the dungeon. This has been working wonders for breaking up the monotany of farming golbin repair rep for me, as I queue up and grind rep while waiting on the random group to fill, then once the dungeon ends, it's back to farming rep again. Wonderful for breaking the monotany.


Herb and Ore Node Hopping
It also is excellent for anyone with mining or herbalism. Wintergrasp is an excellent place to farm herbs, ores, eternals, fish, etc. while awaiting your group to form. Whenever the queue pops as ready to go, I land at the closest vein or lotus spawn and gather it, then accept my queue.  When I finish the dungeon I end up right back at the node I parked at. This Random Dungeon Node Hopping is an easy way to gather some resources in between random dungeon group queues.

Try it:

1) Queue up for Random Dungeon
2) Start Farming
3) When Queue is Ready Land and farm at any node or herb.
4) Enter Dungeon, Finish, and Exit With Dungeon Exiter
5) Check for your node to have respawned.

As far as great spots, if you are an engineer the absolute best spot for this is to park at the Titanium Node in Wintergrasp near the SE Tower Cliffside, near the Fire Revenants. This way you can Grab the Titanium (which is almost always there - especially during Wintergrasp battles when it is hard to reach without a flying mount) then go and grab the 2 free sets of Crystallized Fires+ from the 2 spots in the Cauldren of Flames with the Mote Extractor. Then park back at the node once your group is ready to go.

Super Bowl = Super Opportunity

It's Super Bowl Sunday!

Server populations will drop to an epic low today once the Super Bowl starts, as this is the most highly watched event of the entire year, every year. And with the excellent match-up this year expect it to reach epic viewer records. How does this affect the WoW game day? Things to help you capitalize off of today:

1) Less Competition on the AH - Post your auctions right before kick off, or just after.
2) Check your posts and look for items to snatch during the game or at halftime.
3) If you are dps playing during game time, don't bother looking for a random queue, spend your wait time elsewhere.
4) Post a lot of cute pets on the auction house, as most players today will be women and children.
5) Move a TV right next to your computer. :)

Arena is Back

Patch 3.3.2 is now live, which brings back the new Arena Season. Be sure to have the PvP friendly sellables stocked up and in good supply as demand will be high this week. You may also see a rise in the materials required for these items over the next week or so. Some things to include are:
