One of the tips he gave me early on was to run a few Giveaways using the WoW TCG Loot Code pets which I did for my 2nd blog birthday and a Christmas in July one.

Having set up the subscription system too (also on his advice!) I've occasionally run giveaways purely for subscribers and I've been really pleased with the responses each time.

The other great thing is the no shipping cost to my winners - it also means that I don't have to worry where my winners are located as I would if I were giving away a Blizzard store pet.

Nevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10570175016961442358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5047964376363882750.post-35485263180906293572014-02-23T19:43:40.036-06:002014-02-23T19:43:40.036-06:00Yeah, some cards are climbing in value already. The Reign of Fire Booster Pack boxes opened at $99.99 sale price and are all the way up to $199.99 currently.Coldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02988692142058297277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5047964376363882750.post-72276225687997720562014-02-23T19:25:02.439-06:002014-02-23T19:25:02.439-06:00Excellent article and a great evaluation. As someo...Excellent article and a great evaluation. As someone who has moved away from World of Warcraft and to the finance side of a card games, Cold has made some really points. I did want to touch a little more on risk though.

A common occurrence with TCG games is box/pack mapping. This basically allows you to know what is inside a pack before you open it. In the Magic community at least, this is frowned on. You won't stay in business for long if you're selling mapped packs. My point here, is make sure you're buying from reputable retailers like Cold provided. Don't ever buy lose packs on eBay. You should always assume they have been mapped. Buy through Amazon which partners with reputable dealers.

The other thing I'd point out is you need to remember that these cards are now out of print. So card shops are liquidating their inventory because the player base of the game will disappear. What won't disappear is the desire to obtain the loot cards inside. So while prices may be low now, it's safe to assume as long as WoW remains popular, once the initial surge of card shop liquidation ends, the average booster box cost will go back up.Weshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11818128364747966612noreply@blogger.com
